Loondocks Restaurant in Burlington and Port Carling, Muskoka

History of Loondocks

In 2012, having grown up in Muskoka and sharing a deep love for the region, Kevin Duynstee and his wife Brittany founded a brand new restaurant in the heart of Port Carling, and named it "Loondocks" after the local bird whose beautiful calls echo the lakes at night. They created a fresh new destination offering a casual fine dining concept to both cottagers and tourists. They received overwhelming support, including articles in the local media, as they became known for great service and outstanding quality at a fair price. Some of their awards include Where.ca's "Best New Restaurants In Canada”, DiRoNA’s "Achievement of Distinction in Fine Dining", Culture Trip's “Muskoka’s Best Restaurant", and Trip Advisor's "Certificate of Excellence".

Now in 2018, Kevin and the Loondocks team are preparing to open a second location in Appleby Village, Burlington, offering our award winning dining experience to the Oakville / Burlington area. Set to open in April of 2018, Loondocks Appleby Village will be serving lunch and dinner in a bright contemporary space, further complimented by a beautiful rooftop patio.
